My mother believed she was making a smart choice by paying upfront for her funeral and drafting a will. Sadly, it turned out to be the most challenging ordeal I've ever faced, and she would be heartbroken to know the trouble it caused me. First off, the plan didn’t cover the full cost of the funeral, leaving her in the hospital for two weeks while I scrambled to pay the remaining balance. When I reached out to Golden Charter, they informed me that the solicitor who set up the policy had gone bankrupt, and the new solicitors told them not to talk to customers about anything! Since my mum's contract was with Golden Charter, I insisted it was their duty to handle the situation. The whole process was a nightmare, and I had to manage everything on my own, although the new solicitors were quite helpful (they had no ties to Golden Charter). As someone with a terminal diagnosis, I wanted to protect my family from facing similar issues, but instead, I ended up giving them enough cash to cover my own funeral.

I got my call answered in no time and chatted with a rep named Paul. He walked me through my chosen plan in a clear and professional way. Big thanks!
